HR Generalist – AI SaaS Startup

$160K–$200K Base + Bonus + Equity | New York (Hybrid, 2–3 Days/Week)

A fast-growing AI SaaS company is hiring an HR Generalist to build scalable people operations for a rapidly expanding team. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in startup environments, owns process creation, and cares deeply about employee experience and culture.

You’ll work directly with leadership to shape how the organization hires, engages, develops, and supports employees as the business scales.

What You’ll Own

  • Design and implement HR processes, policies, and programs for a scaling Series A environment
  • Lead onboarding and ensure a seamless, high-quality employee experience
  • Support managers with performance management, coaching, career development, and employee relations
  • Partner with leadership on engagement, DEI, culture initiatives, and org-wide communication practices
  • Ensure HR compliance across labor law, documentation, benefits, and employee policies
  • Manage external HR/payroll vendors and ensure smooth operational execution
  • Serve as a trusted advisor across the organization—someone employees can rely on for clarity, support, and fairness

What Will Set You Up for Success

  • 7–10 years of HR experience in high-growth SaaS, tech, or startup environments
  • Experience building HR processes from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of compliance and employment law
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive—comfortable owning HR independently
