Role: Senior Strategic Designer

Location: Remote

Our client is a leading provider of SaaS solutions that enable companies to track and manage greenhouse gas emissions, helping them understand and reduce their environmental impact on a day to day basis. They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Designer to lead their efforts in developing and delivering digital sustainability solutions to their clients.

As a Senior Strategic Designer, your role will be to focus on finding out what people truly value, and then transform that into value for the business. As both strategist and tactician, will help address diverse business challenges, encompassing the translation of high-level visions into tangible products, services, and systems. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to essential facets of communication, sales, and marketing, facilitating the widespread adoption of the company’s products and services.

 

Responsibilities:

·      Initiate and drive the research to inform and guide the Product Design and Product Management teams.

·      Lead ethnographic research to understand customer behaviors and needs.

·      Conduct quantitative research to frame, validate, or challenge hypotheses.

·      Translate research findings into tangible representations in personas, customer journeys and workflows.

·      Own collaborative design and development processes.

·      Contribute original ideas in workshops and convey them through visual communication and compelling narratives.

·      Analyze marketplace trends.

·      Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

·      Spearhead the identification of relevant trends and future scenarios.

·      Lead the design and facilitation of co-creation sessions and immersive workshops.

·      Apply divergent design thinking techniques for conceptual development.

·      Synthesize innovative ideas into digital and tangible products in collaboration with teams.

·      Communicate design concepts through various techniques.

·      Iteratively design, test, and refine disruptive products and services.

·      Actively engage with target audiences to test assumptions for commercialization.

·      Effectively communicate insights and design rationales to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

•        Over 6 years of professional experience

•        Bachelor’s degree in design, business, psychology, strategy, marketing, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience

•        Postgraduate qualification or substantial experience in a relevant industry

•        Extensive experience in ethnographic research (quantitative and qualitative), divergent exploration, conceptual development, and various design crafts (industrial/graphic/behavior/HCI, etc.)

•        Impressive portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects and work, highlighting:

o  Prototyping and testing skills

o  Future visioning and strategy development

o  Human-centered design proficiency

o  Design Thinking approach to problem-solving

o  Expertise in behavior design methodologies, marketing content strategy, and/or operations process design
