VP Product, US

Hybrid, 3 days/week from the New York office

Our client is a venture-backed fintech company improving financial outcomes for everyday workers through a consumer mobile app offering pay access, savings, budgeting, and financial wellness tools — used by employees at a number of large national and global employers. Backed by investors focused on financial inclusion and social impact, the company is growing quickly and building a leading product in the consumer financial wellness space.

The Role

We're seeking a US-based VP of Product to own strategy, roadmap, and delivery for the company's entire US product portfolio — pay access, savings, budgeting, coaching, and credit-building. The US is the company's largest growth market, and this is a high-ownership executive role: you'll set the vision, adapt an existing product model built in other markets for US workers, employers, and regulators, build and grow the team, and own the outcomes. You'll report directly to the Chief Product Officer.

What You'll Own

  • Product Strategy & Delivery (50%): Own the end-to-end US roadmap from discovery through launch; translate user needs, market dynamics, and US regulatory context into a prioritized roadmap; partner with Engineering and Design to ship at pace without sacrificing quality or compliance; define and own the metrics that matter
  • Team Building & Leadership (30%): Build, mentor, and grow the US Product Management team; coach PMs through complex product, regulatory, and commercial trade-offs; recruit top-tier talent as the team scales
  • Cross-functional & Executive Partnership (20%): Partner with product leadership in other markets and with Sales, Client Success, and Marketing to drive adoption and retention; engage employer customers directly; partner with Compliance/Legal on regulated US financial services; represent US product strategy to execs and board

About You

  • 8+ years in product management, 3+ in senior leadership, ideally at a high-growth FinTech or financial services scale-up
  • Track record building and scaling consumer or workplace financial products at meaningful scale
  • Strong PM team leadership: hiring, coaching, performance management
  • Comfortable in regulated environments, partnering with Compliance/Legal
  • Quantitative and analytical; strong commercial instincts connecting product to revenue and retention
  • Excellent cross-functional communicator, Engineering through C-suite
  • Mission-aligned; prior experience with pay access, payments, savings, lending, or credit-building a strong plus
  • Experience scaling product teams across multiple geographic markets a plus

Compensation

$250,000–$320,000 base + Bonus, Equity & Benefits.
