Product Lead
Location: New York City (in-office Tuesday–Thursday)
About the Opportunity
Our client is building the operational system of record for frontline hospital leaders — digitizing daily workflows like rounding, shift handoffs, huddles, task management, and escalations, and layering AI-driven intelligence on top by synthesizing EHR data, staffing systems, and real-time floor activity. The company has strong contracted revenue, sustained high daily utilization at its anchor customer, and measurable clinical outcomes data. It is category-defining work in a space with no true incumbent, and this Product Lead will help shape it during a pivotal pre-Series A stretch.
This is a hands-on, builder-first product role: owning the customer-to-product loop, translating input from clinical and operational leaders directly into shipped product, and working in close proximity to the founding team. Prototypes are expected in hours, not sprints.
What You'll Do
- Own the full customer-to-product loop — from conversations with frontline and executive healthcare stakeholders to shipped features
- Personally build and test prototypes using AI-assisted tools rather than only writing specs
- Work directly with the founders and Head of Engineering as the connective tissue between market needs and engineering execution
- Evaluate customer requests through a business lens — market size, defensibility, ROI — not just user delight
- Navigate complex enterprise integrations (EHR, staffing, or other operational systems) including IT stakeholders and security/interoperability requirements
Ideal Background
- Senior or founding PM experience at a Series A–C vertical SaaS company; healthcare experience is a plus but not required
- Has shipped product in ambiguous, pre- or early-post-product-market-fit environments
- Hands-on builder — comfortable prototyping directly in tools like Cursor, Figma, Replit, or v0, not just handing specs to engineering
- Comfortable operating in clinical or operational settings, with the ability to hold a substantive product conversation with senior healthcare executives
- AI-native workflow — uses LLMs and AI tools daily for research, prototyping, and synthesis
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to build/prototype hands-on (not solely spec-driven work)
- Experience operating in pre-PMF or early post-PMF product environments
- Strong customer-facing presence, able to earn trust with senior executive stakeholders
- Based in or willing to relocate to NYC; able to work in-office Tuesday–Thursday
