Role: SVP, Marketing 

Location: US-Based, Denver, NC, or Certain Remote States (see list below). 

 

Our client, a venture-backed SaaS company focused on the digital disruption of the agriculture industry (AgTech), is entering hypergrowth mode. They are seeking a Senior Vice President of Marketing to lead the marketing team and guide the company on a multi-year journey to scale from $10MM to $100M in revenue. This will involve partnering with Sales to drive substantial growth in new prospects, clearly articulating the value proposition, expanding the company's brand recognition within the US and various other markets, and fortifying connections with their current client base. The ideal candidate will have led (or been a part of the leadership team) driving this type of growth at a software or services company. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Actively engage in industry events to expand your knowledge base and establish connections with potential business partners, collaborators, and customers. 
  • Collaborate closely with the company's CEO and other key executives to identify and prioritize critical marketing initiatives and capabilities, both in the current growth phase and beyond. 
  • Take charge of shaping the marketing organization, devising a strategic hiring plan, and recruiting top-tier talent. 
  • Diversify the team's expertise by bringing together professionals from various disciplines. 
  • Identify external vendors and partners essential to complement our internal efforts effectively. 
  • Mobilize your team and external resources to achieve key objectives, spanning lead generation, brand enhancement, product launches, and customer-focused marketing efforts. 
  • Lead by example and contribute individually when the situation requires it. 
  • Lead the team in utilizing data-driven approaches to monitor and manage our initiatives. 
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement within the team by measuring the effectiveness of key programs, initiatives, and launches. 

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of marketing experience in enterprise software and/or technology, with at least 15+ years of overall business experience. 
  • Acquire valuable insights from a thriving, high-growth SaaS or technology-oriented enterprise. 
  • Exhibit a proven history of accomplishments spanning a diverse range of marketing areas. 
  • Offer hands-on familiarity with financial, supply chain, or commercial software solutions or business processes in some capacity within the target market. 
  • Strong team building (recruiting top talent) and management experience. 

There are teams in Denver, CO, and Research Triangle Park, NC, which would be an ideal location for the right candidate. This role can also be done remotely, but unfortunately NOT from the following states: CA, OR, WA, NV, AZ, NY, MA, IL, MI, NJ, CT, OH. Relocation is a possibility.  

Comp: $200-230k/year
