Position Overview
The Supervising Producer / Executive Producer is responsible for guiding the creative and operational production of multiple vodcast properties, managing all aspects from concept to distribution. This role focuses on leading signature shows, nurturing talent relationships, leading a small team to ensure premium quality and consistency across all podcast projects.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and oversee production of a portfolio of podcasts, including initial projects centered on women's soccer and women's basketball.
Build and manage relationships with hosts, guests, and on-air talent, ensuring productive and collaborative environments for show development.
Hire, supervise, and mentor a team of producers and editors, managing day-to-day workflow and providing creative/editorial guidance.
Coordinate and oversee the creative process, including concept development, scripting, audio engineering, editing, and publishing of episodes.
Ensure production teams have resources, support, and clear objectives for each podcast, removing barriers to successful project completion.
Manage production budgets, schedules, workflow, and deliverables to meet deadlines and strategic goals.
Provide editorial feedback and creative notes at all stages, refining shows for brand voice, audience engagement, and industry impact.
Collaborate with marketing and business teams on promotion, audience growth, and partnership opportunities.
Monitor show’s performance and analytics, iterating and optimizing production strategies in response.
Lead the development of new show concepts, ensuring consistent brand alignment and high editorial standards.
Skills and Qualifications
7+ years experience producing, supervising, or executive producing podcast content, ideally with leadership over multiple shows.
Demonstrated success managing podcast talent and developing signature audio properties.
Team management/mentorship experience for producers, editors, and technical staff.
Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
Expertise in podcast production tools, audio engineering, and current podcasting trends.
Experience with budgeting and vendor management within broadcast/media preferred.
Portfolio of podcasts managed, especially featuring original properties or sports/media projects.
