Job Title: Director of Marketing - Events and RFPs
Join a leading global organization as our client’s Director of Marketing - Events and RFPs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy, with a specific focus on event planning and management, as well as responding to RFPs from potential clients. You will be responsible for driving their brand presence at industry events, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and crafting compelling RFP responses that showcase their expertise and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Strategy and Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with our marketing and business goals.
- Identify and evaluate industry events, conferences, and trade shows for participation.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with event organizers and industry influencers.
- Track and report on the success of each event, including ROI analysis.
RFP Response Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights required for RFP responses.
- Lead the development and submission of high-quality RFP responses that effectively address client needs and highlight our solutions.
- Maintain a library of standardized RFP content and templates for efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to all RFP requests, adhering to deadlines.
Content Creation:
- Produce engaging and informative content for RFP responses, including case studies, whitepapers, and other relevant materials.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to translate technical information into clear, client-focused language.
Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of marketing professionals focused on events and RFP responses.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- 5 years of proven experience in a marketing function (event planning and management, particularly in the B2B advertising technology sector).
- Demonstrated success in crafting and winning RFP responses in the advertising technology industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Leadership experience with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Comp: $150-$175k base
