Our client is a global advertising technology (Ad:tech) and data platform that maximizes performance for advertisers in the Video space. Their proprietary tech platform analyzes all content and videos to ensure ads run on brand suitable and contextually relevant content – and is built to meet the needs of advertisers.

About the Role:

Our client is seeking either a dynamic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) or Head of US Marketing with clear expertise to help drive their ambitious marketing plans. This role is responsible for executing on a clearly defined marketing strategy that supports the Company objectives of branding, market share growth, visibility, revenue per customer growth and client retention. This includes planning, organizing, staffing, and training, budgeting, and managing all marketing functions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in, and a passion for, the online advertising technology space and supporting the sales of technology solutions to marketers and agencies. They should have a tech and start-up background, considerable experience with marketing to brands and will thrive in a high-growth stage company.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Execution: Lead global marketing and PR to drive strong, successful brand identity, awareness, and reputation in the AdTech marketplace: delivering comprehensive marketing plans that cover go-to-market strategies, advertising spend, specific messaging and channel markets
  • Event Management: Participate in Executive speaking/presentations, leveraging sponsorship as a direct way to achieve business goals by establishing an event participation strategy for sponsored and corporate events to help reach target audiences of agency leads and bran marketers.
  • Development of sales materials and thought leadership: driving effective content, and ensuring that all proposals, case studies, presentations, and sales marketing responses adhere to quality, brand, and operational standards and drive results. 
  • Product Launches: Work with the Product team to plan and execute launches for new and updated products, including creation of support, communications, and training materials
  • Competitive Analysis: Track competitors in space and provide meaningful competitive landscape analysis

 

Main Requirements

  • 10 years in a Marketing Leadership role; deep knowledge of online advertising space (Experience in a high growth start-up is a plus) Ad:tech experience a Must
  • A truly hands-on, flexible team player who will work in a collaborative environment to drive projects forward
  • A well-rounded leader who has business acumen/experience encompassing all areas of marketing (product, program development, digital/web/social media, strategy, marketing operations and measurement, research, events, PR, branding)
  • Self-motivated and assertive individual with strong organizational, planning, and team building skills
  • Deadline-focused with the ability to creatively overcome obstacles along the way and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to prioritize and drive results.
  • Experience leading and developing a team (hands-on) of marketing professionals
  • Analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
  • BA/BS or equivalent degree in Marketing/Communications or Business, advanced degree preferred
