The Sales team at JWS is a small but mighty team where each member has tremendous responsibility, ownership, and opportunity for growth. The team is energetic, tight-knit, and highly motivated to succeed as a unit.

About the role:

As an Associate Account Executive, you'll be a core part of JWS' sales team - partnering closely with our sellers to drive culturally relevant brand partnerships across women's sports. Partnerships will range from off-the-shelf programs (JWS original programming) to highly customized, multi-platform partnerships (like year-long deals) built around original content, live events and tentpole moments in the women's sports calendar.

This role is both strategic and executional. You'll work with sellers to help shape ideas/respond to RFPs, keep deals moving and be on the ground bringing partnerships to life.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Support the sales process and the broader JWS partnerships team for support as necessary
  • Help prep sellers for pitches with research
  • Join client calls, pitch meetings and check-ins - own follow-ups and next steps
  • Attend in-person meetings, production shoots and major tentpole events
  • Track RFP timelines, materials and approval to keep activations moving through pipeline
  • Support sellers and reach out to brands proactively and also support in RFP responses
  • Collaborate with JWS’ content team to design brand-specific content, and with JWS’ account management team to ensure we are delivering everything as sold 
  • Close sales and contribute to the team’s annual revenue target 
  • Prospect using necessary tools and events to build a strong sales pipeline
  • Proactively surface new brand opportunities based on market trends, cultural moments and what’s happening across the women’s sports space
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and bring POVs on how JWS can continue to stand out

Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in advertising and/or sponsorships sales support role
  • Experience working on small teams and/or at a small company and building process as you go
  • A natural fluency in sports and women’s sports a plus
  • Excellent communicator who can tell a compelling story, connect with others, and build lasting relationships by interacting with brands, agencies, talent and internal teams
  • Comfortable juggling multiple workstreams and stakeholders without dropping details
  • Highly organized, proactive and solutions-oriented. You don’t wait to be asked
  • Creative, thoughtful, self-motivated, and a strong team player
  • Strong project management skills with an understanding of how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment 
  • Ability to travel to meet with clients, attend tentpole events, and attend client production shoots
