NYC General Manager/Regional Sales Director



Job Description

We are looking for a proven General Manager with high energy and very strong internal and external communication skills to build, manage, and crush the New York City market; our sights set on being the clear #1 player in the market. The General Manager will be an integral part of the sales team with responsibility for every aspect of the market from sales to strategy to PR to profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and manage an inside and outside sales team of fifteen and work with other state’s sales teams to target existing and new customers and to develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Articulate vision and business priorities to staff so that they may effectively contribute to overall business and financial success
  • Beat expectations on revenue, P&L, market share, and competitor ranking consistently
  • Build relationships and evaluate their effectiveness with
  1. PR firms that represent target accounts
  2. accountants who represent target accounts
  3. key business forums including chamber of commerce, etc .
  • Design, test, and report on market tests in the areas of sales, operations, and management aggressively
  • Create and implement custom events within New York City for customer appreciation and acquisition
  • Deliver strong top-line and bottom-line performance fast. Grow the team and cost-base in a prudent, revenue-led fashion


Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE: 7-10+ years of leading; managing a successful sales team with a track record of meeting and/or over delivering sales objectives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the New York City market, including launching online web-based advertising products.
  • Verifiable track record of leadership, team management, and building a highly skilled, top producing outside/inside sales force in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong sales and service experience: able to personally sell the largest clients and ensure customer experience is excellent
  • Significant experience in planning and executing marketing and sponsorship campaigns that drive conversions and brand affinity
  • Established ability to execute on all aspects of an office including infusing our client’s culture : professional, fun &amp; cutting-edge
  • Extraordinary written, verbal and presentation skills are an absolute must
  • Demonstrated levels of dedication and ownership required to succeed at start-up speed
